Why add accounts

Each cryptocurrency or network you want to use needs its own account in Ledger Live so you can view balances and transact.

Step 1: Install the app

Open the Manager and install the app for the coin you want, such as Bitcoin or Solana, on your device.

Step 2: Add the account

In Ledger Live, go to Accounts, choose Add account, and select the coin.

Step 3: Confirm on device

Confirm the account creation on your hardware device screen.

Step 4: Use the account

The new account appears with its own address you can use to receive funds.

Note

Accounts are derived from your recovery phrase, so the same phrase always restores the same accounts on any device.
