What you need

A Ledger Nano S Plus, a computer, and the Ledger Live application.

Step 1: Install Ledger Live

Download Ledger Live from the official site and install it on your computer.

Step 2: Connect the device

Plug the Nano S Plus into your computer with the included USB-C cable and follow the on-screen prompts.

Step 3: Choose a PIN

Set a PIN directly on the device. Choose something you can remember but others cannot guess.

Step 4: Record the recovery phrase

The device shows 24 words one by one. Write them down exactly, on paper, and store them securely.

Step 5: Install coin apps

Open the Manager in Ledger Live and install apps for the coins you want to hold, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Step 6: Add accounts and receive funds

Add accounts in Ledger Live, copy your address, and send a small test amount first.
