The classic approach is to write your recovery phrase on paper and store it somewhere physically secure, such as a safe or a locked drawer.
Paper can burn or get water-damaged. Metal backup products let you stamp or engrave your phrase into steel, which survives fire and flood far better.
For large holdings, some people split their phrase into parts stored in different physical locations. Be careful: if you lose any part, you lose access.
Never photograph your phrase, store it in a password manager or notes app, email it, or type it into any website. Digital copies are the most common way phrases get stolen.
A physical, offline, duplicated backup is the gold standard. Digital copies are an unnecessary risk.
